1993 was the first year I visited the beautiful island of Naxos. Raised in a fairly protected environment, I discovered naked wintering hippies who spent their days at Plaka beach, in and outside their huts, where the palm leafs was one of the building materials.
Since then much has happened in the Plaka beach. About half of the beach is now tourism exploited. But thankfully, in a few places you can still swim naked, hippie or not!
